Jesus on the Mind

Here is another conversation with Mili. If you haven't read the one below from dinner last night, don't miss it.

This conversation took place on our way to and from Target last night (we had a Mommy and Mili trip)

While walking out to the car (it was dark).....

Mili: I see a star, Mommy.

Me: You do?

Mili: The wise men follow the star to Bethlehem.

Me: That's right.

We drive to Target and no more talk of wise men or stars until we were leaving Target. While Mili is in the basket and I am pushing her to the car..... (I will make this shorter than it actually was)

Mili: So, what did the wise men do? (she ask me this when she wants me to ask her that question).

Me: I don't know, What did the wise men do?

Mili: They take baby Jesus presents.

Me: What kind of presents?

Mili: Gold and Myrrh

We continued to talk about how old baby Jesus was when the wise men visited him and that it was at his house and not the stable. We also discussed that Frankincense was in there somewhere. After all that discussion....

Mili: King Herod want to k..., hurt baby Jesus.

Me: King Herod wanted to kill baby Jesus.

Mili: No, No I not want him die

Me: He didn't die then but he died for us later on the cross.

Mili: That make me sad, Mommy

Me: Yes baby, but Jesus is alive now and lives in heaven.

Mili: I want him come to my house.

Me: He can't, He lives in heaven, but someday He will live in your heart.

Mili: He live in Mommy's heart and Daddy's heart and Sadie's heart and mines too and eberybody's heart.

Me: Baby, Jesus would LOVE to live in EVERYBODY's heart, but unfortunately not everyone loves Jesus and ask him to live in their hearts.

Mili: That's sad, Mommy

Me: Yes baby, that is very SAD. (all out tears by now)

We have some of the best discussion in the car. I think that is Mili's thinking time since she is not preoccupied by other things. I want you all to understand that I post these sweet conversations because they mean a lot to me and because this is how I can put them in black and white and have them on record. I hope I am not boring anyone with them.

Isn't it amazing how the little ones get it all?...they truly feel it and absorb it so deeply into their bones and hearts! What a precious conversation. I'm so glad you shared.

This is never boring! How amazing at her young age that she already has somewhat of an understanding about Christ. You are raising a wonderful little girl. What a blessing!

HOW COULD OUR SWEET LITTLE GRANDAUGHTER EVER DO ANYTHING BORING?????????
EVEN WHEN WE READ THE SAME BOOK 67 TIMES IT IS STILL NOT BORING. WE DO HAVE TO CHANGE BOOKS SOMETIMES. HER ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT JESUS WILL NEVER GET BORING, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW WHY JOSHEPH AND MARY WENT TO BETHLEHAM FOR SURE NOW. IT WAS TO PAY THEIR TAXES, DOESN'T ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING. LOVE YA'LL DAD

As a mommy of two young ones myself, I would be concerned if you DIDN'T post these conversations! I love them! I told my hubby about one of your past conversations, and he said, "it's nice to know someone else is teaching their kids right, too." SMILE!
