The girls "picked" these pretty pumpkins at their schools pumpkin patch. Because the patch was at the school, Sadie also brought one home. I was surprised when I had to carry two pumpkins and a one year old (and keep up with a three year old) while leaving the building that day.
Here is some of our family time captured on "film". This chick is determined to make memories for our family.....busy or not busy, late or early!!!
Mili was having the time of her life...mess and all!
Digging out the goo....as she calls it. Sadie watching on.
Helping Daddy cut the face....she chose a mean face or a grrrrr face.
She gets so excited when she sees a plan coming together...just like her Mommy.
Mili is suppose to have a grrrrr face with Daddy...instead she just looks CUTE!!!
Sadie was not about to sit back and watch....she wanted in on the action.
Taking a look to see what is left in there.
Big sis decides to help.
The proud owners of two pumpkins with different personalities. Mil is showing some attitude in this one.
Sadie's "are we done yet?" face....we see this often.
We had GREAT family time doing this project. We are now trying to schedule what we will do as a family project for Thanksgiving....any ideas????
Please do something with your family that makes memories for a lifetime. Childhood memories are FOREVER....make them GREAT ones!!!
Love to ALL!!!

I'm all about making some memories, so good for you guys! You're right, better late than never...the girls don't care when you do it! :)
Those are some great pumpkins! I remember as a kid at Thanksgiving my mom would cut strips of different color construction paper and we would write the things we were thankful for and then afterwards link "loop" them all together. Now the men in my family they've always played football with the kids every year that I can remember after lunch. I am sure you will come up with something wonderful! =)
We did this too and had fun, we get each "big" kid their own big pumpkin and they each have to do their best to clean out the "guts" as we call it, then I finish up for them. This year (and last) was tough on my poor back being on the floor, pregnant and all for 2 hours scooping and carving but it is a blast and their smiles and the memory they will have was worth every ache and pain:) Thanksgiving suggestions....I like to let the big 3 help me bake a pie or 2 or make a hand print turkey for them to decorate. Also, at Thanksgivng dinner, we each take a turn saying what we are thankful for, even the kiddos.
What great pumpkin pictures. Looks like it was a real blast. Don't you just love this time of year?
PS...Thanks for the comment you left on my blog this morning about Kenidi. She is truly our little "hamm." Blessings to you and yours this holiday season girlfriend.
