Spoiling Mili

As Mili says, "Take A LOOK"!

Can you believe we still have church members asking if they can bring us dinner (people from our life groups brought dinner every night for two weeks after Sadie was born). We had a sweet family bring by dinner on Tuesday night and their two youngest girls (they have six children, great family) brought Mili these COOL sunglasses and this CUTE tent. One of the girls was in the sixth grade small group I lead last school year. They loved seeing Mili get so excited about the gifts they brought. Sadie Beth came out on top with two sweet outfits.

We are so blessed by our sweet church home here. Life would be unbearable without our friends from church. I was glad our parents were able to meet some of the great people in our life groups.

Future's so bright, I gotta wear shades! Check out the tent behind Mili Bear.

Mili asked me to put the sunglasses on her head. She said, "I just wear 'em like this, Mommy".

Mili is already fixing her tent with her tools. You see she has everything she needs for a good camping trip. Her new orange flashlight from Nanny (my mom), her stylin' yellow hat from Nanny (Brian's mom), her tool set, her new sunglasses and let's not forget the baby from Aunt Peggy and/or Aunt Becky.

Many people that brought dinner during the two weeks after Sadie was born brought Mili presents too. She received many different types of books, cds, and of course the sweet stuff pictured above. What can I say except that Mili is SPOILED ROTTEN!!!

We love you all and miss everyone.

They have Come and Gone.....sniff....sniff.

We had an excellent time with both sets of parents here. We were, of course, a tad bit cramped because our apartment is so small but we managed just fine. We even still liked each other after it was all said and done (smile).

It was so special to have them all here and loving on the girls. Mili is missing you guys. She asks if Nanny and Pawpaw and Nanny and Poppy can come over. I try to explain that it is not that easy but she doesn't quite understand yet.

Warning....there are tons of pictures below!!

Sadie and Nanny enjoying a moment.

Sadie, happy in one of the Nanny's arms. This holding me every minute of the day is pretty neat!

Mili enjoying some reading time with Poppy. Mili LOVES books. Thanks Mrs. Irene for the cute books.
Sadie looks like she is laughing at Nanny....probably gas.

Nanny and Sadie having a conversation....not sure what Sadie said????

Sadie Beth content to be in Nanny's arms.
Hope you enjoyed all the pictures. I tried to take as many as possible since the visits are few and far between. I want to be able to scrapbook the pictures of family with my girls as well. We are so thankful for the visit and as we lay in bed Tuesday night Brian said, "I already miss them." I said ditto to that.
We love you all and miss you!! Counting down the days until Christmas now when we will make a visit home.

Deacon Ordination Service

Our Sunday started off perfect. The weather was cool and crisp that morning when we were on our way to church. It was GREAT to worship with my parents and in-laws again (there is nothing like that feeling). Brian sang on praise team and all went well.

We had a restful afternoon and then started to prepare for Brian's Deacon Ordination service. We got complete affirmation that this is the place we should be serving when Brian had to go into work for a bit that afternoon and everything seemed to go wrong there. He arrived home in just enough time to change clothes and be on our way. We also felt the hand of Satan when we had a fender bender on the way to the service. We exchanged insurance info and were off to the ordination service (we are all fine and our car does not even have a scratch, the other guy had some damage to his car but not a lot and he is fine as well).

Praise God that not even a fender bender could stop the service. We barely made it on time and were a little antsy because of all the craziness that had happened before the service. We sat down and calmed down and God began to work.

This was by far one of the most spiritual, emotional, and humbling experience. Everyone praying for us when I am the one that likes to be praying for others. The picture of all the men laying hands on Brian is very powerful to me.

Brian's father said a few sweet things about Brian (he could barely talk he was so emotional). There were a lot of people there to support us. It would not have been the same without my parents and my in-laws there to share it with us. We are so grateful that they were able to attend during this special time in Brian's life of service to our Lord and Savior.

Brian's father spoke about him at the service but it is my turn now. I have known for a long time that Brian had the heart to be a Deacon (he has served me in so many ways in the 19 years we have been together). He is very humble in EVERYTHING he does. When he does something spectacular in his profession, I am the one that is bragging on him. Well I am bragging on him as a spiritual leader now. Since we moved here and started at this church, Brian has had a heart for reaching out to others. This is totally out of Brian's comfort zone and God has been preparing him for this service along the way. We have been serving on the Connections Team for a while and that has helped Brian to look for new people at church and go up and introduce himself to them (something that he would have never done before). It is so amazing to see all the things that God has done to pave the way for this service of Deaconship (I don't know if that is a word, but I just made it one if it isn't). Brian has a heart to serve and give of himself to others. He is always willing to help where needed even if it is not in his comfort zone or something he enjoys doing. That is a true servant heart. It is not hard serving in places that we love or have passion for but it is very difficult to serve in a place that just needs to be filled or is not a passion for you. Brian has done it many times.

I am so thankful that God gave Brian to me and that he has shown our family how a spiritual man is supposed to look. The older our girls get the more important it is for them to see their Daddy doing the will of God and being a servant is the best way to do that. I look forward to serving along side him in whatever way I can. We have a passion to see marriages become happy and healthy.

Our sweet Pastor Tim (or PT as many people call him)
It was a great day for us.
Thanks to our sweet church home in Arkansas again for allowing our parents to share in this special day. We love you and could never thank you enough.
Hugs and Kisses to you all!

Life with Mili

Mili wore her new clothes that Nanny (Brian's mom) made her today to church. She was so cute that everyone was commenting on her outfit. I just had to take pictures of how cute she looks in it.

I wanted to blog about Mili's cute sayings while I can remember them and so I will have record of them.
I love the way she says and does everything but these are a few things that I just couldn't live without.

I love the way Mili.......

says, "I yuv you, Mommy" "I yuv Sadie, Mommy" "I yuv you, Daddy"

says, "I miss Daddy, Mommy" while Brian is at work

says "DV-dv" (emphasis on the capital letters) for a DVD
says "movie box" for her portable DVD player

puts a 't' on the end of many words and most of her numbers

says "take a look, Mommy" while using her imagination and looking thru her imaginary binoculars

does a Pierette after I fix her hair and says, "I bootiful, Mommy"

says, "I'm myself" for I can do it myself

says, "Mommy lay down down floor" when she wants me to play with her in the floor

sings, "Kinkle, Kinkle little star"

sings the ABC song and always leaves out "EFG"

counts everything (hoping she is not OCD) mainly every stair at the apartment complex (there are many of them)

jumps over every crack, counting them at the same time, on the sidewalk at our apartment complex

says, "I need new new milk" when she needs more milk or wants cold milk

dances ( I mean breaking it down) while Brian is practicing for praise team at church

opens her door in the morning from her crib and in a quiet sweet voice says, "I wake, Mommy"

tongue flies out between her teeth when she says, "Sadie Beth"
always says, "Mommy" after everything, if you can't tell by the above statements.

wants to always help me with Sadie (change her diaper, bathe her, or just wants to hold her)

"reads" the Very Hungry Caterpillar book to me

says, "what's wrong, Mommy" in hopes that I will in turn ask her "what's wrong, Mili"

says, "Jesus loves me" when she is looking at her bible

says, "I yuv church"
says, "Emily Yeung (from the disney channel) do's that" she says do's instead of does
says, "I want NO ______" instead of saying "I don't want that"

Baby Bare Feet

Ok, so this is my weakness......My girl's feet!!! I love baby feet (who doesn't???) and I especially love my babies feet!!!! You can tell with the massive amount of pictures (I took tons more, these are just the best ones...the joy of digital cameras).

It was hard for me to concentrate on taking the pictures since I was kissing those sweet bare feet between takes. Mili loved doing these takes since I had to put Sadie on Mili's back or stomach to take some of the shots. Mili said, "Mommy, Sadie on me again.....please."

As you scroll down you will see that even Daddy got in on some of the action.

Hope you enjoy our girl's sweet feet (probably not as much as we do, unless you are a grandparent, aunt, or uncle...smile).

Have a great weekend!!!
